stop, walk, stop, walk.

sunday morning,
and i dun really have much to do today.
refer to my title;
i really want to have a stop from this hectic life,
and just take a look at the beautiful scenery around me.
always having thoughts on mind,
how many actually stop to admire the scenery around them?
take a break, make a stop;
look at those around you, admire those around you.

i rmb having games of poker with ervin ytd.
poker, i mean real poker.
those that you see ppl having lots of chips on the table,
two cards at their hand, five cards from the banker.
then suddenly they'll shout 'show hand!'
and then they lose ._.

the rules of poker is quite simple;
a player would get two cards,
and can choose to raise, bet, follow or hold.
then everytime the banker is going to open one card,
the player can choose to hold or bet or raise.
and in the end when five cards are open,
the player with the best combination of cards wins.
dun understand rite? play with me and you'll understand.

poker is a game of risk, deception and somehow, mostly luck.
it's like how are you going to make things out with the cards give to you,
bluffing your opponent, or choose to hold and give up on the game, then lose.
you have to pay a price to go through high risk,
in order to have high rebates coming back.
not only you depend on the cards given to you, considered as luck,
you also depend on your deception skills and flashy betting to bluff your opponent.

i played a game with ervin ytd,
and i found out how bluffing, facial expression and the amount of betting,
can actually get through your opponent.
raising bet to pressurise your opponent when you have no chance of winning,
following the call when you know you would defeat your opponent,
and also holding the cards as soon as possible when you know there's no chance of winning.

life, is like a game of gamble.
i rmb a previous post i portrayed it through blackjack and big two;
today i portrayed it through poker.

sometimes in life,
we have to bluff through things;
often, never let your true intentions to be shown.
always make yourself sound like losing when you're about to win,
often make sure that you give up at all cost when you're bound to lose,
to minimise causalities.

also, a game of poker isn't won by what kind of cards you get;
it depends on how you bluff your opponent.
its the same theory as driving a benz and a lorry;
however, how fast the car would go depends on the driver.

of course, you don't use the above techniques on the one you love lah :D

i always find out how much i would learn through gambling,
and how much gambling would always teach me not to gamble.
looks like i have some affinity with cards and chips.
