朱门酒肉臭,街边冻骨头。
its my second time blogging today,
and this time, i purposely came to the com,
because i dun wanna to lose my inspirations.
inspirations, for that above sentence.
it sparked me when i really have nothing to do in afternoon.
now, my concern here is not about whether there are still poor folks dying by the streets.
wad concerns me now is,
is birth status and family status going to affect a person drastically?
all i noe is, a person born of poor origins,
always strive to achieve the best of his life and time,
wanting to release himself or herself from the poor status.
compared to a person born with a silver spoon in his mouth,
a person of poor origins have lesser conditions to achieve something high,
but he or her has been given a good headstart:
a bad circumstances to train for the better.
for a person of rich origins,
being pampered and fed at home,
certainly cannot endure the hardships and critics of the outside world.
life examples around me has given me all the warning and advice i need;
those rich kids being pampered and spoilt,
always have an air of elegant around them.
an air of a wastrel, an air of someone proud.
but those of poor origins around me,
holds their head low and modest,
yet with their eyes high forward,
waiting for a good opportunity to strike a chance.
certainly, not used to the harshness of the outside world,
rich, spoilt kids always falls down hard in failure,
unable to suit themselves to the circumstances,
unable to tolerate every bit of event that doesnt meet eye to eye with them.
and yet for those kids of poorer origins,
being used to harsh circumstances they are in,
they certainly are able to adjust and customize their actions according to the situation.
wealth, something that many ppl wanted and seek after for a life,
is always the first thing that separates mankind into different levels.
ppl are so shallow that many of them actually view ppl by their wealth, looks and fame.
im not here to critic the rich,
neither am i here to arouse trouble.
all i want to say is:
My Dear Fellow Singaporeans:
Born in a time of peace, many of you have already took the peace and harmony that we all have for granted. Many of you took our social status in this world for granted. Many of you, born with guidance and care, have not prepare yourself to face the many challenges of the outside world.
When PM told us that he is confident that we can face all the challenges, I doubt not his words, but our qualities. Are we really prepared to face the many challenges in this growing society?
Many of us are born pampered and spoilt, many of us are born relaxing. With our current circumstances, can we really face the many challenges?
wealth, is always a peak of something,
and the starting downfall of another.
in this way, it is the peak of the hardships of our forefathers,
but is it really the start of the downfall of our next generation?
